Social responsibility

The College of Computer Science and Engineering, with its administrative units and scientific departments, has been concerned with implementing various programs for volunteer work and social responsibility since its inception. This program is managed by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit at the college to include students and college staff, and even extends beyond providing its services and programs to university students and staff in addition to community members, with the aim of social development, whether through opinion, work, scientific research, or otherwise. This is based on the college’s cooperation with internal and external entities at the university in order to meet the needs of their community and achieve Vision 2030.

Controls for implementing initiatives

Maintaining the reputation and status of the university in all publications and advertisements related to the initiatives
The supervisor of the initiative must be a faculty member or an administrator from the college
The supervisor of the implemented initiative is committed to presenting the initiative’s publications and bulletins to the head of the unit to obtain approval for publication
Initiatives are uploaded to the unit’s email 4 weeks before the proposed implementation date
Commitment to the university’s rules and regulations in the case of cooperation with parties outside the university
Commitment to submit a report after the end of the match via the unit’s e-mail, provided that the submission does not exceed two weeks from the end date
To submit a survey of the opinions of the beneficiaries of the implemented initiative and include the results of the survey in the report submitted to the volunteer work coordinator after implementing the initiative.
