Two patents in the field of biometrics

A research team obtains two patents in the field of biometric traits from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, led by Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ayyad Al Shaddadi.
The patent aims to verify the identity of people’s fingerprints through a smart algorithm by verifying that the data is authentic and not fabricated by the biometric fingerprint, in order to repel cybersecurity attacks that deliberately penetrate systems based on electronic authentication with biometric features through attacks that fabricate people’s biometric features.

Blessed be Jeddah University for the female students of the Cybersecurity Department in the College of Computer Science and Engineering, as the HawkLink team secured first place 🥇 in Health and Security Hackathon in Hajj 2026, and they were honored by the Minister of Interior, among more than 90 participating teams, with the team qualifying to present the idea on the TEDx platform.

Student Ihab Osama Abu Al-Qumboz from #University_of_Jeddah #College_of_Computer_Science_and_Engineering @UJCCSE and his team “TraffixAI” achieved first place in the #Datathon_Open_Challenges organized by #SDAIA, for their innovation of solutions based on data and artificial intelligence.
The winning team received a training scholarship at Draper University in the United States of America worth a quarter of a million riyals.
