Units of the College Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs and Development

Educational Affairs and Examinations Unit

Tasks of the Educational Affairs and Examinations Unit:

  1. Preparing study schedules.
  2. Organizing registration, deletion, and addition of various college courses.
  3. Organizing course withdrawal, semester withdrawal, and re-enrollment processes.
  4. Receiving exam papers from other colleges.
  5. Organizing midterm exams and alternative exams.
  6. Organizing exam committees and distributing invigilators during exams.

Student Activities Unit

Tasks of the Student Activities Unit:

  1. Organizing extracurricular activities in the college.
  2. Communicating with students and involving them in student activities such as trips, theater, and internal and external cultural competitions.
  3. Supervising the organization of exhibitions within the college.

Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit

Tasks of the Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit:

  1. Receiving and guiding new students, introducing them to the college and its departments, and preparing them for academic and university life.
  2. Providing academic, psychological, social, and scientific counseling to college students and offering advice.
  3. Paying attention to students with weak academic performance and talented students, and studying cases that require financial support from the student fund.
  4. Supporting student rights in accordance with university regulations and fostering a culture of justice and fairness among students.
  5. Providing necessary consultations to students and informing them of their university rights and how to obtain them through official channels.

Quality Assurance and University Vision Achievement Unit

Tasks of the Quality Assurance and University Vision Achievement Unit:

  1. Promoting the culture of quality, assessing performance levels, and implementing and following up on academic evaluation and accreditation.
  2. Continuously collecting data and information about quality activities in the college, documenting efforts and results in all quality and accreditation activities, and participating in developing and implementing the college's strategic plans.
  3. Preparing reports on performance levels and beneficiary satisfaction with various activities.
  4. Focusing on measurement and evaluation activities in the college, following up on results, and providing recommendations based on these results to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development.
  5. Promoting the culture of evaluation among students, encouraging them to practice it, and raising their awareness of the benefits to the educational process through participation in evaluation surveys.
  6. Following up on the implementation of initiatives carried out by the college to achieve the university's vision and submitting follow-up reports to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development.

Graduate Unit

Vision

To contribute to building bridges of communication between the college and its graduates, enhancing their sense of belonging, and supporting them in achieving professional and societal excellence, making them ambassadors who reflect the university's vision and mission.

Unit Objectives

  1. Strengthen ties with graduates by organizing periodic meetings and fostering the exchange of opinions and information between the college and its alumni.
  2. Bridge the skills and knowledge gap between academic programs and labor market demands by leveraging graduates’ expertise to provide feedback on programs and curricula.
  3. Identify and address professional challenges faced by graduates to inform effective planning for academic programs.

Unit Tasks

  1. Analyze and study the status of the college’s graduates.
  2. Create, maintain, and regularly update a graduate database.
  3. Establish a database of institutions and companies relevant to graduates and the labor market.
  4. Communicate with college graduates, gather their feedback, and promote the culture of self-marketing among them.
  5. Measure graduate satisfaction levels and provide departments with survey results.
  6. Prepare lists of expected and actual graduates.
  7. Draft the unit’s annual report.
  8. Organize annual meetings for college graduates to exchange experiences between alumni and programs.
  9. Conduct workshops to equip prospective graduates with skills that enhance their employment opportunities.
  10. Hold regular meetings with the University’s Career Guidance and Training Administration.

Practical and Cooperative Training Unit

Tasks of the Practical and Cooperative Training Unit:

  1. Communicating with external training entities to find training opportunities for students.
  2. Announcing training opportunities for college students and monitoring their training through performance reports from training entities and student satisfaction surveys.
  3. Preparing reports on the training process and submitting them for presentation to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development.
